Certificate of authenticity included. This piece was created in 2021 for the "Duality of Monsters" art exhibit held at Bear & Ink Gallery in San Antonio, TX. It represents the duality often found amongst survivors of childhood abuse. At first glance it is an innocent and beautiful antique clown mask hung on an antiqued wallpapered wall from a nail. But if you take a closer look from the sides, the nail is actually protruding from the forehead of what appears to be a demonic entity. Then you go on to notice the demon's hands have broken through the wallpaper offering the mask by hand. Is the mask being offered in a sinful exchange, or is the demon actually helping, and offering a mask to hide the hurt behind? Who really knows?

It is an interactive, resin sculpture of a one of a kind version of my classic clown masks, which is adorned with tarnished, gold trimmings. The clown mask can be removed and the framed piece can be displayed as an impressive piece all on it's own. The frame is wooden.

It measures 24 inches tall, by 18 inches wide and is ready to hang with by wire hardware already attached to the back. This piece is ready to ship but will take up to 2 weeks to be packaged for shipping, as it is in art storage in San Antonio and arrangements will need to be made. It is also available for local pickup because shipping fees will likely be pricey on this one.
