Glows BLUE in the Dark

This little BLUE MOON looks great on a wall or as a shelf sitter as is, but it really shines once the lights go off.  It works best if it has been charged under a UV blacklight, or direct sunshine for a while. 

It measures roughly 4 inches long, 4.25 inches wide, and 2 inches in depth.

This Blue Moon sculpture was first created for a college art final in 2018. It was sculpted by Erin in water based clay. Then Erin molded it in silicone order to create copies in order to make different variations. It's final form is a polyurethane plastic mixed with the very BEST glow pigment. It's then hand sanded, hand stained in a blue dye pigment for bring out the details, hand sealed, and then, a hidden rope is hand glued inside the back. Most of our smaller sculptures are finished with a rustic rope for hanging and we leave the rope visible as we think this adds a nice touch to the product. However, we think this moon looks best with the rope hidden. All made with love of course, and by hand incase you didn't pick up on that ha!

These are made to order, therefore can take 2-4 weeks to receive. Also note that ordering close to certain Holidays, like Halloween or Christmas could cause even further delays in processing and delivery. Please feel free to reach out if you need something by a certain date so we can verify whether or not it will be in your hands on time. 

Since each item is handmade completely (no machines used aside from sanding) slight variations may occur in their sizes, textures, colors, paint jobs, etc. In 8 years of making and selling these items, we have only had 1 person reach out due to these variations that naturally occur, so we like to think most of our collectors agree this makes them extra special and unique.
